News & Events at Riversong Ranch in Durango

Riversong hosted a dressage show in May 2011 for our boarders and other riders in the Durango area.

• Riversong Ranch had two loveable foals in 2009.
  Sindri – Icelandic stud colt born 6/8/09
  Denali – Oldenburg filly born 5/29/09
• Annual Icelandic Horse Clinic with guest clinicians. In 2009 we enjoyed a 3-day Clinic with Gudmar Petersson ….. plans are underway for 2010.

• Trail rides in the surrounding areas – You can literally find great riding in any direction … high mountains (top-of-the-world views, brilliant fall aspen colors) to the North and East ….. slightly milder mountains to the West (everything from pines to sand structure) …. and high plains (sandy arroyos, breathtaking plateaus, ancient native structures) to the South. We share the “latest greatest” trail discoveries with each other.

• Seasonal Parties – we have a terrific group of Boarders who make it fun to put on 3-4 parties per year …. a perfect time for hysterical games and hearty laughter with friends.

Medicine Horse Equine Assisted Therapy

Riversong Ranch is home to Medicine Horse Center. The Medicine Horse Center offers equine assisted therapeutic services to people of all ages with physical, cognitive, emotional or age-related challenges. Under the guidance of licensed health care therapists and horse professionals, client's interactions with horses aim to foster emotional, social, spiritual, physical and psychological growth.
